The implementation began with a few pilot jobs, allowing a small group of employees to familiarize themselves with the system before rolling it out company-wide. The HeavyJob mobile app enabled foremen to report numbers directly from the field, significantly reducing paperwork and providing immediate feedback on operational costs. Custom reporting features, including automatic notifications, were also introduced to highlight issues and exceptions, allowing managers to quickly identify and address problems. Additionally, Rumco integrated HCSS HeavyBid, an estimating software, with HeavyJob to improve job cost information and enable estimators to compare bids with actual job totals. This integration provided Rumco with a comprehensive view of project performance, allowing for more accurate future bids.
