About The Customer
Tactic is a London-based company that aims to enable enterprises to make decisions with 10x more information. They offer a no-code tool that extracts actionable insights from unstructured data, such as documents, pictures, audio, and video clips. This tool helps revenue teams in high-growth tech companies save time by making it faster to assemble information from multiple sources. Launched in early 2020, Tactic quickly gained traction and counted companies like Workfront (Adobe) and GoCardless among their customers. Their product is particularly popular among enterprise revenue teams, leading to a high demand for integration with customers' CRM data.
The Challenge
Tactic, a company providing a no-code tool for extracting actionable insights from unstructured data, faced a significant challenge after its launch in 2020. The company's product was quickly adopted by high-growth tech companies, leading to an increased demand for integration with their customers' CRM data. This demand was particularly strong for a native CRM integration, which some customers began to complain about its absence. Tactic recognized that providing such integrations would not only address customer complaints but also accelerate their sales efforts and increase customer satisfaction. However, building these integrations in-house proved to be a daunting task due to the time, cost, and effort required, as well as the need to develop specific expertise for each CRM vendor they wanted to integrate with.
The Solution
In search of a more efficient solution, Tactic's co-founder Rudy Lai discovered Paragon. Despite initial skepticism, Lai realized that Paragon could enable Tactic to meet their customers' demands for integrations without the significant time and cost investment of building them in-house. Paragon's SDK made it easy for the Tactic team to get started, providing a ready-made UI that could be embedded directly into their app, allowing customers to connect their Salesforce accounts to Tactic. Paragon's Connect API provided direct access to their customers' Salesforce API, making it easy to build low-code workflows to pull their customers' Salesforce CRM data into Tactic's app. With Paragon, Tactic was able to ship their Salesforce integration in just 5 days, a process that they estimate would have taken a month or longer without Paragon.
