About The Customer
Agilis Networks is a business-to-business (B2B) provider specializing in fiber-based Internet, WAN, voice, and hosted services. Established in 1997, the company has become a key player in providing enterprise-level networking solutions to various communities and businesses in Northern Ontario. With a strong emphasis on reliability and top-tier telecommunication services, Agilis Networks has built a solid reputation as a premier choice for businesses and organizations seeking dependable connectivity solutions. The company operates a robust fiber-optic network, which serves as the backbone for its service offerings, ensuring high-speed and reliable communication for its clients. Agilis Networks' commitment to quality and innovation has positioned it as a leader in the telecommunications industry, catering to the complex networking needs of its diverse clientele.
The Challenge
Agilis Networks was in need of a new storage system for its customer-facing services. The company required a resilient, high-availability platform to support its business model, which allows customers to purchase cycles up to the virtual machines (VMs). The existing infrastructure was not meeting the demands for high availability and efficient management, prompting the search for a more robust solution. Additionally, Agilis Networks was concerned about the cost of power and the physical footprint of the new solution, which were critical factors in their decision-making process.
The Solution
Agilis Networks chose the Nutanix Xtreme Computing Platform to address its need for a high-availability and resilient infrastructure. The solution included Nutanix hyperconverged systems and the Nutanix Prism management solution, which provided a simplified and efficient way to manage storage and server resources. The deployment began with the purchase of a Nutanix NX-6000-series system in June 2014, and the company has since expanded its Nutanix environment by adding several additional nodes. Agilis Networks partnered with Zycom Technology, an IT solutions provider and Nutanix Partner, to facilitate the deployment of its new virtual server infrastructure. The partnership ensured a smooth transition and integration of the Nutanix platform into Agilis Networks' existing operations. The Nutanix Prism interface has been instrumental in managing the environment, offering a user-friendly and comprehensive management experience. Additionally, the 'Call Home' functionality of the Nutanix systems has been highly appreciated by Agilis Networks, providing proactive technical support and ensuring the reliability of the infrastructure.

Vodafone Hosted On AWS
Vodafone found that traffic for the applications peak during the four-month period when the international cricket season is at its height in Australia. During the 2011/2012 cricket season, 700,000 consumers downloaded the Cricket Live Australia application.
