About The Customer
Audiovox is an international leader in the marketing of cellular telephones, mobile security, entertainment systems, and consumer electronics products. They are one of North America’s largest sellers of wireless products and CDMA handsets. The company relies on their network to generate revenue and provide in-house employees and sales people in the field with productivity services, including email and other mission critical applications. Audiovox hosts their own website, which serves both informational and e-commerce roles.
The Challenge
Audiovox, a major player in the marketing of cellular telephones, mobile security, entertainment systems, and consumer electronics products, was facing a challenge with their existing network. The company, which is one of North America’s largest sellers of wireless products and CDMA handsets, relies heavily on their network for revenue generation and providing productivity services to in-house employees and salespeople in the field. They host their own website, which serves both informational and e-commerce roles. However, they realized that their existing network would not enable them to be accessible at all times, to both customers and employees, and therefore revenue and productivity were at stake. They were also aware of their vulnerability to attacks on the Internet.
The Solution
To address their challenges, Audiovox implemented Radware’s LinkProof. This solution enabled Audiovox to multi-home their network, so at no time were they dependent on a single ISP for uninterrupted connectivity. Any outage experienced by the ISP is totally transparent to network users and therefore has no effect on Audiovox revenue or employee performance. This was proven after Audiovox implemented the LinkProof solution, one of their ISPs experienced an outage for 3 days. This was entirely transparent to the end users. With Radware’s LinkProof solution, Audiovox is able to improve user experience, be they employees or customers. LinkProof maximizes the performance of Audiovox’s three T1 links, performing application switching at Gigabit speeds. In addition, the Radware solution provides optimization and load balancing of traffic flows, without having to implement complicated routing protocols. This optimizes all network resources ensuring load balancing and optimization of all Internet access links. To protect against internet attacks, Audiovox deployed Radware’s APSolute OS on top of the LinkProof. This provides robust intrusion protection that mitigates 1,000 common attacks in real-time, safeguarding valuable resources. Since LinkProof sits at the edge of Audiovox’s network, viruses, hacks, and other attacks never reach other network devices. To fully view the utilization of the network, where any bottlenecks or attacks may take place, Audiovox uses LinkProof’s Configware Insite software. This software provides end-to-end monitoring and reporting capabilities, which enable Audiovox to monitor ebbs and flows in traffic, to spot any unusual spikes that could indicate virus attacks or other anomalies in traffic coming to the site.

Predictive maintenance in Schneider Electric
Schneider Electric Le Vaudreuil factory in France is recognized by the World Economic Forum as one of the world’s top nine most advanced “lighthouse” sites, applying Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies at large scale. It was experiencing machine-health and unplanned downtime issues on a critical machine within their manufacturing process. They were looking for a solution that could easily leverage existing machine data feeds, be used by machine operators without requiring complex setup or extensive training, and with a fast return on investment.
