The Challenge
Paul Rush, the founder of Augusta Rental Homes, was new to the property management industry when he started his company in 2015. The complexity of managing a growing portfolio of rental properties presented a significant challenge. He needed a solution that could handle the intricacies of property management, from lease management to resident communication and maintenance tracking. Moreover, as a rental property investor himself, Paul understood the importance of providing customers with peace of mind and sought a tool that could help him deliver this.
The Solution
Paul decided to use Buildium, a property management software, to address these challenges. He utilized Buildium’s Resident Center as a central hub for all resident communications, payments, and repairs. This approach allowed him to streamline the learning curve and quickly build trust with his residents. The digital communication capabilities of Buildium enabled Paul to establish a lean business model centered around efficiency and effectiveness. The software's intuitive interface and comprehensive features allowed him to manage a large number of properties remotely with a small team, thereby maximizing his return on investment.
