About The Customer
Rate My Excel is primarily targeted at companies looking to vet candidates' Excel skills quickly and efficiently. The platform is particularly useful for hiring managers who can use the platform to remotely test up to ten candidates at a time. The platform's user-friendly design allows hiring managers to easily invite new candidates, review score reports, and change settings from a personalized dashboard. The platform also provides instant scoring and a custom score report, making it a valuable tool for companies in the hiring process.
The Challenge
Rate My Excel, a platform developed by Lianna Gerrish, was designed to help companies quickly vet candidates' Excel skills through a fully automated testing platform. The challenge was to create a platform that could remotely test up to ten candidates at a time, provide instant scoring, and generate a custom score report comparing candidates and their work samples. The platform also needed to be user-friendly, allowing hiring managers to invite new candidates, review score reports, and change settings from a personalized dashboard. The challenge was not just to create a functional platform, but also to do so without having to write a line of code.
The Solution
Lianna Gerrish chose to build Rate My Excel on Bubble, a no-code platform that offers templates, forums, documentation, and integrations. This allowed her to focus on creating a robust assessment platform without having to worry about building basic elements like contact forms or user logins. The platform works by allowing hiring managers to invite candidates to take an assessment. Candidates receive an email invite, log into their assessment, answer questions, and submit a work sample. The platform then provides instant scoring and a custom score report. Bubble's integrations with Stripe, Sendgrid, and the API Connector unlocked powerful features, enabling the platform to test anyone remotely, collect payments, and create user dashboards.
