About The Customer
JNB Heavy Haul is a heavy haul trucking company based in Mitchell, Ontario, with a sister company in Nova Scotia. The company was started by Bonnie, John, and Nick Beimers in 1997 with just a couple of trucks. As of 2021, the company has grown to approximately 34 truck units. The company handles mostly oversized, overweight loads that are trucked all over Canada and the USA. Becki Beimers, who has been with the company for 10 years, oversees operations, dispatching, and accounts payable/receivable at JNB Heavy Haul and its partner company in Nova Scotia.
The Challenge
JNB Heavy Haul, a heavy haul trucking company based in Mitchell, Ontario, was facing several operational challenges. The company, which handles oversized, overweight loads across Canada and the USA, was struggling with inefficient workflows, particularly in accounting and dispatching. The company was heavily reliant on paper bills of lading, which often led to misinterpretations and errors. The invoicing process was also problematic, with a lot of duplication and re-entry of information. Tracking permits and extra costs for each load was a difficult task, often managed through Excel spreadsheets. The company was growing, and the existing systems were not scalable, leading to inefficiencies and a need for a better solution.
The Solution
JNB Heavy Haul implemented Axon software in October 2020 to streamline their operations. Axon software completely integrated their accounting and dispatching processes, eliminating the need for separate paper bills of lading and reducing errors. The software also revolutionized their invoicing process, eliminating duplication and re-entry of information. Axon also provided a customizable tab in the order, which helped in tracking permits and extra costs for each load, even adjusting for the exchange rate for the day. The software also improved customer relations by providing quick access to load information, enabling faster responses to customer queries. The software's training and support were also highly appreciated by the company.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).
