About The Customer
Do Good Property Management is a property management company based in Boise, ID. The company was established in 2012 by Chelsea Busnardo, who started her career in real estate investments at a young age. The company manages over 204 multifamily and single-family units. Do Good Property Management is more than just a property management company. It is also committed to giving back to the community. The company has created a nonprofit, Tomorrow's Adventure Foundation, to which it donates 5% of its proceeds. The company's mission is to bring more good to the world, whether that be through supporting local charities or mentoring its team on how to make smarter decisions in real estate investment.
The Challenge
Chelsea Busnardo, the owner and founder of Do Good Property Management, faced a significant challenge as her real estate portfolio and family grew. Managing a full-time job in addition to her properties became increasingly difficult. She wanted to start her own property management company to have more flexibility and freedom to pursue her passions, including spending more time with her kids and giving back to her community. However, she knew that her company would quickly outgrow managing just a handful of units. She needed a scalable solution that would not only help her manage her growing portfolio but also allow her to focus on more meaningful work.
The Solution
Chelsea decided to adopt AppFolio Property Manager, a powerful platform that she could grow into. AppFolio offered a comprehensive, user-friendly, and mobile solution that allowed her to manage her properties from anywhere. The platform's built-in text messaging and emailing capabilities made it incredibly easy to communicate with residents, owners, and vendors. It also provided a record of all communication, which proved to be crucial in case of disputes. Moreover, AppFolio's robust accounting system simplified processes, saved time, and increased accuracy, especially during tax season. It also optimized the process of collecting vendor W-9s and insurance by providing a centralized location for all these documents. Furthermore, AppFolio's on-demand tools helped Chelsea provide the kind of customer experience her renters wanted while eliminating inefficiencies.
