About The Customer
Ecophos is a world-leading business solution provider of innovative technological solutions for the phosphate industry. Based in Belgium, Ecophos' Industrial Services department is an essential part of the company's global vision. This department is responsible for the design of all industrial plants with Ecophos technology. They produce all designs using BricsCAD and do all the engineering for the group, as well as for their partners. Everything they do is based on a 3D model, making it crucial for them to have a reliable tool that allows them to create these models and show their clients and partners what the model will look like in the real world and how it will work.
The Challenge
Ecophos, a leading provider of innovative technological solutions for the phosphate industry, faced a significant challenge in its Industrial Services department. This department is responsible for the design of all industrial plants with Ecophos technology, and it was crucial for them to use a reliable tool that allowed them to create and communicate their designs effectively. They needed a solution that would enable them to create 3D models of their designs and show their clients and partners what the model would look like in the real world and how it would work. Furthermore, they needed a tool that was compatible with the native DWG format, the most common format used within their industry, to avoid data loss during conversion between different formats.
The Solution
Ecophos Industrial Services turned to BricsCAD Pro and BIM for their design and project needs. BricsCAD provided them with a reliable tool for creating 3D models and was compatible with the native DWG format, eliminating the risk of data loss during conversion. BricsCAD also offered incomparable speed in 3D modeling and allowed fast zooming, rotating, moving, and scaling of items in an isometric view. This made it easier for Ecophos to communicate their designs to clients and partners. Additionally, BricsCAD's fast support system saved Ecophos time and money by providing quick responses to their questions or issues. Ecophos also used CADWorx to design the piping and mechanical elements, and they found that BricsCAD was fully compatible with this software, making the transition to BricsCAD smooth.
