The Challenge
FERCAM, a logistics company, was experiencing growth that necessitated the modernization of its technology resources. Internet access had become a crucial part of daily operations, and the company needed a more effective monitoring solution. The previous solution was plagued with issues such as weak performance, ineffective blacklist updating, and inadequate web traffic monitoring and analysis for 800 users. These inefficiencies led to a high number of IT tickets related to service issues or false positives.
The Solution
FERCAM chose Forcepoint Web Security based on its ease of use, speed of implementation, and the ability to define policies for specific user categories while appropriately filtering access to specific websites or pages. The implementation of Forcepoint Web Security was up and running in one day. This new solution considerably reduced traffic generated by inappropriate web usage, regulated bandwidth, and completely eliminated network downtime. It also eliminated the need to double the available bandwidth based on the previous solution. After the adoption of Forcepoint, the company was able to continue with the existing configuration, avoiding any further investments.

In-vehicle communications and entertainment system hosts high-value or sensitive applications. API libraries facilitate communication and sharing of vehicle data. These API libraries are vulnerable to reverse engineering and tampering attacks and may even result in loss of passenger safety.
