About The Customer
Ferrari and Maserati of North America are luxury carmakers that import cars for distribution and sale in the United States, Canada, and South America. They provide after-sales assistance to their dealer network, which includes marketing, sales, customer service, technical training, and warranty administration. In addition to these services, Ferrari and Maserati of North America also advise Ferrari and Maserati S.p.A. on product development for its market and participate in motor sports, cultural, and philanthropic activities.
The Challenge
Ferrari and Maserati of North America were facing challenges in their data analysis process. The process of generating and sharing reports for retail sales analysis, service and repair orders, and monthly expenditures was time-consuming and involved manually entering data into Excel files and distributing that static information via email. This method was not only inefficient but also did not allow for real-time interaction with the data.
The Solution
Ferrari and Maserati of North America implemented Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server to streamline their data analysis process. The implementation was done in-house, keeping the cost of deployment within budget. With Tableau, users can interact with company data in real-time and access personalized views and dashboards from the company's Intranet, a Microsoft SharePoint/Tableau Server-based portal. This has made the process of generating and sharing reports for retail sales analysis, service and repair orders, and monthly expenditures much easier and more efficient.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).

Monitoring of Pressure Pumps in Automotive Industry
A large German/American producer of auto parts uses high-pressure pumps to deburr machined parts as a part of its production and quality check process. They decided to monitor these pumps to make sure they work properly and that they can see any indications leading to a potential failure before it affects their process.
