About The Customer
Henkel is a German multinational company and a leader in both the consumer goods and industrial sectors. With revenues of more than 20 billion €, the company is organized into three global business units: Laundry & Home Care, Beauty Care and Adhesive Technologies. Henkel’s consumer brands include Schwarzkopf Professional, Persil, Dial and Purex. Around the world, Henkel operates hundreds of distribution facilities of all sizes. These facilities were relying on time-consuming, error-prone manual processes and a variety of outdated technology solutions.
The Challenge
Henkel, a German multinational company and a leader in both the consumer goods and industrial sectors, operates hundreds of distribution facilities of all sizes around the world. These facilities were relying on time-consuming, error-prone manual processes and a variety of outdated technology solutions. To improve customer service while driving down costs, Henkel needed to adopt best practices, advanced digital capabilities and process standardization across its worldwide network. The company was looking for a solution that could provide improved process speed, accuracy, and efficiency, higher service at a reasonable cost, and increased visibility and control.
The Solution
Henkel implemented Blue Yonder’s warehouse management and warehouse labor management solutions across its facilities in North America and Latin America, with plans to roll out in additional regions. The solutions are delivered on a simple, agile web platform enabled by the cloud, which supports the dynamic nature of the warehouse environment. The user-friendly, mobile nature of the software makes training easy and keeps implementation costs low. One of Henkel’s strategic priorities is identifying best practices and adopting them in every warehouse as process templates, supported by Blue Yonder capabilities. Blue Yonder has positioned Henkel to track, measure and continuously improve its warehouse operations, because it now has a means for process visibility, orchestration and control.

Improving Vending Machine Profitability with the Internet of Things (IoT)
The vending industry is undergoing a sea change, taking advantage of new technologies to go beyond just delivering snacks to creating a new retail location. Intelligent vending machines can be found in many public locations as well as company facilities, selling different types of goods and services, including even computer accessories, gold bars, tickets, and office supplies. With increasing sophistication, they may also provide time- and location-based data pertaining to sales, inventory, and customer preferences. But at the end of the day, vending machine operators know greater profitability is driven by higher sales and lower operating costs.

Revolutionizing Rodent Control
From pet- and child-safe traps, to touch-free and live-catch rodent control solutions, Victor continues to stay committed to producing superior products that meet the varying needs of today’s pest control professionals. And, with a long standing history supporting customers in the food processing, service, and retail settings, Victor knew that strict regulations were costing organizations thousands of dollars in excess overhead trying to manage their rodent-control solutions. Trap inspections in these environments are often difficult and time consuming, requiring personnel to manually check a trap’s status multiple times per day, amounting to over six hours of manual labor. Victor is looking for an innovative way to increase operational efficiencies with the use of technology.
