About The Customer
AXDRAFT is a San Francisco-based company that provides an end-to-end contract management software platform for law firms and large corporations. The platform has drafted over 120,000 legal documents and saved more than $4.5 million, contributing significantly to the growth of these organizations. AXDRAFT's clients include industry leaders such as Slack, Walmart, Carlsberg, British American Tobacco, and Sandoz. The platform is known for its document drafting automation, which allows legal documents to be prepared seven times faster than manual processes. It also boasts of robust security features, including SOC-2 certification, data encryption, and cloud-based deployment.
The Challenge
AXDRAFT, an end-to-end contract management software platform, was facing a significant challenge. One of their biggest clients was on the verge of leaving due to the lack of a Slack integration feature in the AXDRAFT platform. The client needed this feature urgently for them to renew their contract. The integration was required to deliver notifications to various channels within the AXDRAFT platform, enabling different teams to receive updates seamlessly in Slack without disrupting their workflows. Furthermore, AXDRAFT realized that they were missing out on potential revenue by not having this integration, as several other clients had expressed their willingness to pay for it. The company was faced with the decision of either developing the solution in-house or seeking external solutions, with the primary requirement being that the Slack integration had to be part of the next product update.
The Solution
AXDRAFT decided to leverage the Paragon SDK for the Slack integration. This solution was not only perfect for their needs but also easy and efficient to integrate with their existing product. The strong use of conditional logic in Paragon was particularly attractive, as it accommodated more use cases within each workflow. AXDRAFT was initially concerned that the embedded experience might be complicated or not user-friendly, but this was not the case. Paragon’s out-of-the-box UI blended seamlessly within AXDRAFT’s interface, and users were able to easily navigate the product. The Slack integration was rolled out in just 2 weeks. The integration is now part of the users’ notifications settings and takes under 2 minutes to set up. Users can easily select which types of notifications they want to receive in Slack, as well as the channel they want the notifications to go to.
