About The Customer
Icon Partners is a Japan-based executive search firm that specializes in the supply chain management sector. The company was founded in 2006 by CEO Jeremy Sanderson, who has over a decade of experience in the Southeast Asian recruitment industry. Icon Partners caters to the needs of high-value candidates and quality-focused companies, with a vision to become the clear market leader in its sector. The company is known for its service excellence and business acumen, and it has chosen Bullhorn, the market-leading recruitment CRM, as its recruitment software foundation.
The Challenge
Icon Partners, a Japan-based executive search firm, was facing significant challenges with its legacy CRM system. The system was not recruitment specialized and lacked the necessary functionality to efficiently manage candidate data. The search functionality was particularly poor, which created problems with candidate management. This led to frustration among consultants and negatively impacted workflow efficiency. The company needed a recruitment-focused CRM that offered customizability and flexibility to meet their unique needs in the supply chain management sector.
The Solution
After a rigorous selection process, Icon Partners chose Bullhorn as their new CRM system. Bullhorn offered the reliability and expertise of a market-leading true cloud recruitment CRM. It provided intuitive workflows that eased the adoption process, giving Icon Partners the functionality they needed to work more efficiently. The usability and flexibility of Bullhorn’s interface proved to be a significant improvement over Icon Partners’ previous solution. The system allowed for the incorporation of multiple facets of the daily workload, such as working with emails within the recruitment CRM itself. Bullhorn’s customizability allowed Icon Partners to create custom fields, search categories, and drop lists, tailoring the system to their specific needs.

Retail Uses RFID to Enable Cold Chain Monitoring
Like most grocery retailers, Hy-Vee is faced with the challenge of providing the highest quality products to its shoppers. Shoppers want the longest possible shelf life from perishable products and expect a consistent product experience each time they shop. Controlling the quality of products sold leads to shopper loyalty, which is of paramount importance to the success of Hy-Vee. Before products arrive in stores, Hy-Vee's distribution centers (DCs) handle items including dairy products, fresh meats, seafood, deli items, produce and frozen goods, all of which have different temperature needs and sensitivities. During transit from suppliers to DCs, Hy-Vee has limited visibility and temperature management abilities due to large amount of supplier managed transportation. For instance, during a week-long transit, a supplier's carrier equipment may malfunction, causing an item to thaw and then refreeze once repairs are made. Hy-Vee sought help from TempTRIP, an RFID solution provider that focuses on shipping, storage, receiving, and temperature control. TempTRIP's EPC RFID tags use Impinj chips to monitor and report temperature readings throughout the shipping and receiving process. The tags can also be re-configured and re-used, a unique feature within the current market of temperature monitoring devices.
