About The Customer
J. Goodin is a distributor and manufacturer of fashion jewelry based in Brea, California. The company has a strong belief that software enables business success and has been using ERP software for over 15 years to help grow their business. J. Goodin operates in multiple locations around the world, including the USA, Mexico, and China. The company sells its products through several channels, including Amazon.com, jewelry wholesalers, and retail outlets. J. Goodin's sales models include a make-to-order process for custom jewelry and a make-to-stock process for distribution.
The Challenge
J. Goodin is a manufacturer and distributor of fashion jewelry that needed an ERP system to manage sales orders, purchase orders, inventory, and accounting. The system had to be efficient in order to process a large daily volume of orders and customizable in order to support both current and future business processes. The new software needed to support several sales models including a make-toorder process as well as a make-to-stock process for distribution through several sales channels such as Amazon.com, jewelry wholesalers, and retail outlets. The company had previously used ERP software and a NetSuite solution, but found them lacking in speed, reliability, and support.
The Solution
J. Goodin chose Acumatica, a web-based solution that offered an on-premise server deployment option. This allowed J. Goodin to purchase a license, build customizations, and avoid being “held captive” by SaaS only solutions such as NetSuite. Acumatica is Cloud-based so order processing is fast, even during peak periods. Growth-based pricing allows J. Goodin to expand the use of the system to include unlimited users in offices around the world. Acumatica automates different sales process so employees around the world gain real-time access to order status. J. Goodin’s developers will use Acumatica’s APIs to build a real-time interface to their e-commerce site.

Improving Vending Machine Profitability with the Internet of Things (IoT)
The vending industry is undergoing a sea change, taking advantage of new technologies to go beyond just delivering snacks to creating a new retail location. Intelligent vending machines can be found in many public locations as well as company facilities, selling different types of goods and services, including even computer accessories, gold bars, tickets, and office supplies. With increasing sophistication, they may also provide time- and location-based data pertaining to sales, inventory, and customer preferences. But at the end of the day, vending machine operators know greater profitability is driven by higher sales and lower operating costs.

Revolutionizing Rodent Control
From pet- and child-safe traps, to touch-free and live-catch rodent control solutions, Victor continues to stay committed to producing superior products that meet the varying needs of today’s pest control professionals. And, with a long standing history supporting customers in the food processing, service, and retail settings, Victor knew that strict regulations were costing organizations thousands of dollars in excess overhead trying to manage their rodent-control solutions. Trap inspections in these environments are often difficult and time consuming, requiring personnel to manually check a trap’s status multiple times per day, amounting to over six hours of manual labor. Victor is looking for an innovative way to increase operational efficiencies with the use of technology.
