About The Customer
Localizoo is designed for independent and small-scale pet rescuers in Mexico who wish to expand their outreach and place their pets in the best available homes. It also caters to individuals interested in adopting a new pet. The platform provides a frictionless two-way marketplace for pet rescue in a country with an overwhelming number of street and neglected animals. The platform's users are able to upload an infinite number of pets while providing specific details such as location, animal type, breed, size, age, etc. Users interested in adopting a pet can search and filter for their ideal cat or dog.
The Challenge
Localizoo, a pet rescue and adoption platform in Mexico, was founded by Gabriel Tamez, who had a background in finance but was keen to learn coding. The challenge was to create a platform that would allow independent and small-scale pet rescuers to manage their pet listings, reach a wider audience, and screen potential adopters. The platform needed to be user-friendly and efficient, allowing rescuers to upload an unlimited number of pets with specific details such as location, animal type, breed, size, age, etc. The platform also needed to provide relevant forms and paperwork to streamline the adoption process. The challenge was compounded by the overwhelming number of street and neglected animals in Mexico.
The Solution
Gabriel chose Bubble, a no-code platform, to build Localizoo. Bubble's intuitive front and back end integrations enabled him to quickly validate his pet listing service. He was able to code and launch an MVP in about 8 weeks while working on Localizoo in his free time. Bubble greatly simplified the time it took to get the product in front of users and allowed for quick iteration of the product based on real feedback. The platform allows rescuers to sign up for an account and create new listings. Registered users can upload an infinite number of pets while providing specific details. Users interested in adopting a pet can search and filter for their ideal cat or dog. The platform also provides relevant forms and paperwork to streamline the adoption process.
