About The Customer
Exera is a security services company based in Yangon, Myanmar. Founded in 2012, it is the country’s first internationally managed security company. Exera provides a range of services including protective services, transportation, training, and risk consulting. The company has experienced rapid growth since its inception, expanding from 150 employees to over 1,000 in just five years. This growth has been driven by the influx of new clients coming into the country to do business for the first time. Exera's employees are involved in a variety of roles, including guarding facilities and providing security services and training to clients.
The Challenge
Exera, a security services company in Myanmar, experienced rapid growth from 150 employees to over 1,000 in just five years. This expansion necessitated a new way to manage its human resources and finances. The company had been relying on manually created spreadsheets, which were no longer sufficient for the scale of their operations. They needed a system that could automate business processes, integrate local tax and labor guidelines, and be flexible enough to add more functionalities as the company grew.
The Solution
Exera chose Acumatica’s cloud ERP system and Cadena’s HRM (human resource management) tools to automate its business processes. The cloud-based system was easily accessible and scalable, meeting Exera's needs for flexibility and growth. The solution was implemented with the help of NetSmart, a local provider for cloud-based business management solutions and an Acumatica partner. NetSmart worked closely with Exera to customize the system to meet Myanmar’s local regulations, including tax implementations and invoicing. The system also included a training module, recognizing that people were Exera's most important resource.

Manual, costly and ineffective, the local agency desired to transition from analog to digital CCTV, apply computer vision and other technologies to automatically detect potential crime in progress, expedite and streamline emergency calls and integrate with personal wearables to ensure the safety of their citizens.
