Omega Legal Systems, Inc. is a premier provider of Financial and Practice Management systems for mid- and large-size law firms. Approximately 12,000 legal professionals nationwide rely on Omega every day to run their businesses more productively, efficiently and profitably.
The Challenge
Omega wanted to provide data visualization and analysis capabilities to its clients using data from Omega Legal’s finance and time tracking system. Omega sought an analytical software capability that could give its clients a more in-depth and interactive way to analyze their data than ever before possible, enabling users to quickly identify trends, make comparisons and focus on exceptions that may be affecting their firm’s overall performance. But they also wanted to deploy the solution in a fraction of the time typically required to build such capabilities from scratch.
The Solution
Omega selected Tableau Desktop to provide data visualization and analysis capabilities for its new Visual XpressTM product. “With Visual Xpress, our clients will be able to use Tableau’s data visualization software in conjunction with their Omega Legal data to uncover the ‘whys’ behind the data, thereby enabling them to make sound business decisions,” said Don Gall, President of Omega. “Visual Xpress represents a giant leap forward in Business Intelligence for law firms. The insights gained from the ability to drill down into their data through Visual Xpress’ dynamic visualizations will have a positive impact on their strategic planning in all aspects of their businesses.
