About The Customer
SK Rent-a-Car is a renowned long-term car rental company in Korea. Founded in 1988, it is the only company in the industry to be listed on KOSPI in 2012. The company has been a market leader, driving innovation in the business model to reflect customer needs and industry trends. With various channels to manage, the brand sought an all-in-one platform to optimize the application journey through real-time communication to boost customer engagement.
The Challenge
SK Rent-a-Car, a leading long-term car rental company in Korea, faced challenges in driving conversion and maintaining customer engagement. The company needed to move beyond generic messages to attract its consumers’ attention with personalized engagement and boost satisfaction and conversion rate. The process of renting a car was perceived as tedious by customers, leading to a high bounce rate due to the long application journey. The company needed a solution to engage with on-site customers on a real-time basis to keep them on the website and encourage them to complete the application process.
The Solution
SK Rent-a-Car collaborated with Appier to develop a personalized marketing approach using AIQUA, a one-stop platform for personalized engagement. AIQUA collected customer behavior from the website, analyzed it, and delivered personalized messages to individual customers. SK Rent-a-Car used AIQUA to optimize the application journey through real-time communication, targeting customers who had not completed the application process and sending them reminders with personalized messages. AIQUA also enabled SK Rent-a-Car to execute cross-channel Member-get-member campaigns effortlessly, allowing customers to share campaigns with friends and participate in events using Kakao Talk to receive discount coupons/points. This solution made the company’s marketers work more efficiently and improved customer engagement.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).
