The Challenge
Sebastian Schneider, the founder of ProSoundWaves, identified a gap in the market for online education in music production and audio engineering. With over 15 years of experience in audio engineering and a background in programming, he had the concept for an interactive, academy-like online platform that could take students from beginners to world-class producers. However, he faced two significant challenges. Firstly, he did not have the time to master more programming languages to develop the platform from scratch. Secondly, hiring professional developers to build the platform was beyond their budget. The team was small, and only Sebastian had experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which were insufficient for building a complex app like ProSoundWaves.
The Solution
Sebastian and his team turned to Bubble, a leader in the no-code movement, to build their app. Bubble's powerful point-and-click web editor and cloud hosting platform allowed them to build a fully customizable web application without the need for advanced programming skills. ProSoundWaves was designed as an interactive and engaging platform, using a 'skill tree' structure for the course. Students click on each lesson, watch the video, and complete associated tasks, which are reviewed within 24 hours. If they do not pass, they receive feedback and tips for improvement. This gamified approach keeps users enthusiastic and motivated. The platform also offers 1-on-1 tutoring, providing individualized feedback on assignments and tips for improvement. This personalized approach sets ProSoundWaves apart from other online courses.

More specifically, Panasonic has developed a system that collects data from projectors, visualizes detailed operational statuses, and predicts issues and address them before failure occurs. Their projectors are embedded with a variety of sensors that measure power supply, voltage, video input/ output signals, intake/exhaust air temperatures, cooling fan operations, and light bulb operating time. These sensors have been used to make the projector more intelligent, automatically suspending operation when the temperature rises excessively, and automatically switching light bulbs. Although this was a great first step, Panasonic projectors were still not equipped with any capability to send the data over a network.
