About The Customer
RentoMojo is a prominent home furnishing rental service in India. The brand aims to provide a wide selection of affordable home furnishings to working professionals and the on-the-move population across the country. Their rental services include a variety of home furnishings such as electronics, home & office furniture, home appliances, fitness equipment, and other furnishing products. The brand is committed to offering quality products with an easy return policy, free cancellation, and free upgrades on electronics and appliances.
The Challenge
RentoMojo, a leading home furnishing rental service in India, was facing challenges with their existing marketing automation platform. The platform was not supporting their need for personalized user experiences and dynamic user engagement. The brand wanted to provide more intuitive and relevant product messaging based on user purchase history and cycle, and create custom journeys and communication based on user actions. However, their existing platform was not equipped to handle these requirements. Additionally, a significant number of their engagement emails were landing in the SPAM folder, a problem that their current tool couldn’t solve. This was negatively impacting their overall user engagement strategy and causing a drop in conversions.
The Solution
RentoMojo chose MoEngage as their new automation and engagement platform after careful evaluation. MoEngage offered effective user engagement and features such as Dynamic Product Messaging (DPM) that enabled intuitive personalization at a user level, based on the user’s journey. To address the email deliverability issue, MoEngage’s Email Consulting team performed an in-depth analysis and created a customized email warm-up plan for RentoMojo. This included a complete email audit from infrastructure to recipients segmentation to revising overall content and design. After the email warm-up, RentoMojo used MoEngage’s Flow with DPM to keep users engaged and upsell other products using relevant messaging. They created custom user journeys based on purchase history and set campaigns for prompt payments, cross-selling or upselling products, and reminders for product renewal or upgrades. They also ran specific campaigns for new purchases and abandoned purchases, triggering push notifications, email alerts, and social ads in real-time based on user activity.
