About The Customer
Heresite Protective Coatings, LLC is a company that specializes in formulating coating solutions for metal industrial equipment that must operate in harsh or corrosive environments. The company's products are manufactured in its plant located in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and are sold worldwide. The company was purchased a few years ago, and the new management inherited an older version of Sage Pro ERP that had not been updated in many years. In addition to its manufacturing operation, Heresite operates a job shop where technicians apply the company’s coatings to customers’ equipment.
The Challenge
Heresite Protective Coatings, LLC, a company that formulates coating solutions for metal industrial equipment, was operating with an outdated version of Sage Pro ERP that hadn't been updated in years. The company's diverse business model, which includes a manufacturing operation and a job shop, made it difficult to find a suitable modern ERP software. They also lacked an inventory application in their previous software, making it challenging to manage items and bills of materials effectively.
The Solution
After reviewing several applications, the company decided that the smartest, most cost-effective move was to Sage 100 ERP. The company's Sage business partner migrated vendor, and customer data from Sage Pro into Sage 100 ERP. This migration provided the company with the opportunity to set up their items and bills of materials to fit the way they do business. The company also implemented the Sage 100 ERP TimeCard module, which allowed data to flow accurately to the Job Cost and Payroll modules, providing a fully integrated business solution.

Field Device Asset Management For Chemical Company in China
Chinese chemical subsidiary of multinational corporation serves customers throughout the world. Sales offices and research and technology centers are strategically located to provide rapid response to customer requests. Just two workers were assigned to maintain thousands of intelligent instruments in three production units, so they could do little more than react to device issues as they appeared. This costly maintenance method inevitably led to unexpected downtime when a critical instrument failed. Plant management recognized the need to change from reactive to predictive maintenance for all assets, including instruments and control valves, but help was needed in implementing such a technology-based initiative.
