About The Customer
Moonglow is a customizable jewelry brand that features phases of the moon. The company was founded with high ambitions and set a goal to scale the business to ten million in annual revenue by the end of 2019. Moonglow's product is complex, requiring the management of 700 component pieces and tracking over 5,500 potential combinations of sellable products. The company was fulfilling 60 orders per day, but faced challenges in tracking, quantifying, and forecasting. They also struggled with overselling, which led to negative customer reviews.
The Challenge
Moonglow, a customizable jewelry brand, had ambitious growth plans. In 2018, the founders aimed to scale the business to ten million in annual revenue by the end of 2019. However, they faced significant operational challenges. The team was fulfilling 60 orders per day, but lacked a system for tracking, quantifying, or forecasting. Overselling was a common issue, leading to negative reviews and unhappy customers. The complexity of their product, which required managing 700 component pieces and tracking over 5,500 potential combinations of sellable products, added to the operational difficulties. In the Q4 of the year before implementing Skubana, Moonglow sold under a million dollars worth of inventory, while thousands of units were oversold for weeks. The operations team was hesitant to invest more in marketing and ad spend until they were ready to handle the increased workload.
The Solution
To overcome these challenges, Moonglow implemented Skubana, a platform designed to manage operations and unique workflows. Skubana provided Moonglow with a comprehensive operating platform that streamlined sales channels, automated orders and vendor workflow, and facilitated auto-POs. The platform was used daily by various team members, including the creative director and co-founder for complete visibility over inventory and order flow, and the CEO for managing spend and ROI. Within the operations department, the fulfillment team used Skubana for tasks such as handling physical cycle counts, printing shipping labels, validating addresses, and shipping orders. Skubana's user-friendly UI and seamless automation made it an ideal solution for Moonglow's complex operational needs.

Improving Vending Machine Profitability with the Internet of Things (IoT)
The vending industry is undergoing a sea change, taking advantage of new technologies to go beyond just delivering snacks to creating a new retail location. Intelligent vending machines can be found in many public locations as well as company facilities, selling different types of goods and services, including even computer accessories, gold bars, tickets, and office supplies. With increasing sophistication, they may also provide time- and location-based data pertaining to sales, inventory, and customer preferences. But at the end of the day, vending machine operators know greater profitability is driven by higher sales and lower operating costs.

Revolutionizing Rodent Control
From pet- and child-safe traps, to touch-free and live-catch rodent control solutions, Victor continues to stay committed to producing superior products that meet the varying needs of today’s pest control professionals. And, with a long standing history supporting customers in the food processing, service, and retail settings, Victor knew that strict regulations were costing organizations thousands of dollars in excess overhead trying to manage their rodent-control solutions. Trap inspections in these environments are often difficult and time consuming, requiring personnel to manually check a trap’s status multiple times per day, amounting to over six hours of manual labor. Victor is looking for an innovative way to increase operational efficiencies with the use of technology.
