The Challenge
In the financial services sector, the ability to deliver new capabilities daily in a compliant manner is crucial. However, Standard Chartered, like many organizations, was hindered by a multitude of interfaces that impeded agility. The bank sought to innovate faster by reducing interfaces and enhancing quality through the use of a globally federated business process framework.
The Solution
Standard Chartered adopted webMethods as the bank’s enterprise integration platform and established the Enterprise Data Management Integration (EDMi) Programme. This programme incorporates methodology, process, software, solution, and an organization dedicated to delivery and design. EDMi is built on architectural principles that align the IT architecture with the business architecture. The platform is ideal for both tactical projects and large-scale transformation programs.
