About The Customer
SubSocket is designed for users who want to set up PayPal payments for their projects but do not have a coding background or do not want to spend time going through extensive PayPal documentation. These users could be web application designers like Thimo, entrepreneurs, or small business owners who want to focus on developing their projects rather than dealing with complex payment setups. SubSocket users appreciate the simplicity and efficiency of the platform, as it allows them to set up payments in minutes. The platform has been well-received by the no-code community and has already helped around 100 users implement PayPal payments into their apps.
The Challenge
SubSocket was founded by Thimo Waanders, a web application designer with no coding background. He was passionate about designing web applications but faced challenges in adding advanced functionalities due to his limited coding ability. He was also frustrated with the time-consuming process of setting up PayPal payments, which required going through extensive PayPal documentation. This process was not only complex but also took away valuable time that could be spent on developing other aspects of a project. The challenge was to find a solution that could simplify the process of setting up PayPal payments and make it accessible to users without a coding background.
The Solution
Thimo discovered Bubble, a no-code platform, and decided to use it to build SubSocket. SubSocket is an application that allows users to set up PayPal payments in minutes through an easy-to-use dashboard. Users can create an account, specify the application name, and input their PayPal API credentials. Once the application is created, users have access to a dashboard where they can create PayPal products and plans. SubSocket also allows users to implement PayPal subscriptions and one-time payments with just a URL or by embedding an official PayPal button onto their website. SubSocket also offers a Zapier integration, full or partial refunds, copying of sandbox products to live, advanced search, and much more. The solution was designed to be user-friendly and does not require any coding knowledge, making it accessible to a wide range of users.
