About The Customer
Traveloka is Indonesia's first unicorn and a popular online portal for travelers in Southeast Asia. The platform allows users to book flights, hotels, attractions, and train tickets throughout the region and around the world. Operating in an extremely fast, dynamic, and competitive space, the company can lose hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential revenue if the platform faces issues even for a couple of minutes. A large volume of its employees were hungry for data, necessitating a self-service solution.
The Challenge
Traveloka, a leading online travel portal in Southeast Asia, operates in a highly dynamic and competitive space. Any disruptions to the platform, even for a few minutes, could result in significant revenue loss. The company needed a tool that could provide real-time alerts for any disruptions, enabling quick rectification. Additionally, Traveloka required a self-service solution due to the high volume of employees needing access to data. The company was looking for a solution that could avoid creating a bottleneck for information and allow employees to serve themselves.
The Solution
After a five-month review period where 30 data analytics solutions were assessed, Traveloka chose Domo for its self-service capabilities, Personalised Data Permission (PDP), and alert features. Domo's self-service feature allowed hundreds of Traveloka's employees to access the platform without creating a bottleneck. The PDP feature enabled Traveloka to provide useful information to all 7,000 people in its network. Domo's alert feature was valuable to Traveloka's business as it allowed users to slice and dice data, set alerts for specific metrics, and access data that mattered to them at that exact moment.
