About The Customer
Ufone is a telecommunications company based in Pakistan. The company understands the importance of connecting with its customers, which includes its 3,000-plus employees. From deployment teams to human resources, IT, and finance, Ufone employees rely on one another to accomplish their work. The company was seeking a solution that would facilitate smoother internal transactions, save time, and increase visibility. Ufone's Technical Project Management Office also needed a solution to track progress on mobile network rollouts, which required communication across a variety of sites.
The Challenge
Ufone, a telecommunications company based in Pakistan, was seeking a more efficient workflow solution for its human resources/administration, finance, and network management teams. Despite having an ERP solution for core products, the company needed a solution that was easier to implement. The company's General Manager of IT Development and Governance, Asad Mohsin, was tasked with finding a solution that would facilitate smoother internal transactions, save time, and increase visibility. The company's Technical Project Management Office also faced challenges in tracking progress on mobile network rollouts due to limitations of their desktop-based legacy application.
The Solution
Ufone turned to Microsoft Gold partner Kalsoft for guidance and ultimately chose Nintex Workflow, a SharePoint-based solution that was quick to deploy, easy to use, and cost-effective. The Ufone Administration department began by automating four workflows related to office leases, municipal taxes, rental plans, and expenses. This shift from manual processes and email to Nintex Workflow resulted in significant savings in terms of process efficiency. Ufone also used Nintex to automate the entire rollout workflow for mobile network rollouts, improving tracking, communication, and service levels for the PMO department. The adoption of Nintex Workflow has spread throughout the company, integrating well with other applications and proving to be an efficient solution for the company's needs.

Vodafone Hosted On AWS
Vodafone found that traffic for the applications peak during the four-month period when the international cricket season is at its height in Australia. During the 2011/2012 cricket season, 700,000 consumers downloaded the Cricket Live Australia application. Vodafone needed to be able to meet customer demand, but didn’t want to invest in additional resources that would be underutilized during cricket’s off-season.
