The Challenge
UiPath, a leading Robotic Process Automation (RPA) vendor, was facing challenges in managing its recruiting processes due to its rapid scaling. The company was receiving over 1,000 inbound applications daily and needed a solution that could handle this volume without compromising the personal touch for each candidate. Additionally, UiPath was in the process of migrating to a new applicant tracking system (ATS), a move that posed a potential risk to the candidate experience. The company needed a solution that could serve as a central database for all candidates and ensure a smooth transition between ATS providers without disrupting candidate communications and nurture campaigns.
The Solution
UiPath chose Eightfold as its AI recruiting solution to address these challenges. Eightfold's Talent Acquisition and Talent Intelligence Platform helped automate basic recruiting tasks such as sourcing, screening, and outreach, thereby increasing efficiency. The platform's unique calibration technology was particularly beneficial in facilitating dynamic discussions with hiring managers to gain a clear understanding of their requirements in real time. Furthermore, Eightfold played a crucial role in UiPath's ATS migration. It served as the central database for all candidates, enabling UiPath to map and sync its candidates from one ATS to another seamlessly. Metal Fabrication
As each mast section needs a total of 222 reliable welds, manufacturing them is an extremely labor intensive process.Until recently, STROS had to use highly skilled welders to make these sections. Although it has been using robots for 25 years, these machines could not manage the complex arc welds in narrow spaces needed for these particular components. Consequently, in order to produce a satisfactory number of mast sections it had to employ three welders per shift at three separate workstations to make these pieces. Apart from the obvious outlay this required in terms of manpower and space, STROS found it increasingly difficult to recruit the highly qualified welders needed for this work. That's why in 2007 the company decided to hold a tender for the complete robotization of its manufacturing process for mast sections. Of the four firms who participated, only the ABB group could fulfill all its requirements.
