GreenState Credit Union's Transformation in Facilities Management with IoT
GreenState Credit Union, a prominent credit union in Iowa, faced significant challenges in managing its facilities. Prior to 2013, the credit union's facilities management processes were heavily dependent on email and paper notes. They attempted to use the IT help desk system and Microsoft Outlook for preventive maintenance scheduling. However, these solutions proved to be inadequate. The IT help desk system was too IT-centric and lacked the flexibility needed for facility management. Microsoft Outlook, on the other hand, was not effective in managing the interrelationships of staff technicians, contractors, and the numerous facilities under management. The lack of a comprehensive and efficient system led to difficulties in tracking and managing requests, scheduling preventive maintenance, and documenting work details.

Efficient Asset Management: A Success Story of The Pillars Christian Learning Center
The Pillars Christian Learning Center, a network of eight preschools in San Antonio, Texas, faced a significant challenge in managing and tracking their expanding chain of preschools, along with all building, educational, and IT-related assets. The conventional methods such as email and spreadsheets were proving insufficient for the rapidly growing organization. The center needed a simple yet effective solution for tracking the cost and location of their numerous pieces of equipment. An easily accessible platform for staff members to report issues was crucial to ensure these could be promptly prioritized and delegated to their team or external contractors. Efficient contractor management was paramount given the size of their maintenance staff. The ultimate aim was to maintain a system that consistently ensured the safety and comfort of their young learners—all within a limited budget.
