About The Customer
CentraSep Technologies, a Trucent Company, is a leading manufacturer of industrial centrifuges; separation and filtration systems; environmental products; and fluid management services. For nearly 40 years, the company has delivered proven results in the most demanding situations throughout a wide range of industrial, commercial, and institutional applications. Today, CentraSep’s patented liquid-solid centrifuge technology is considered the gold standard for industrial centrifuges and separators, as well as many other types of filtration systems. CentraSep’s centrifuges have revolutionized fluid filtration and separation in applications requiring clarified process fluid and/or recycled fluid, and offer a unique design, efficiency features, and patented technology.
The Challenge
CentraSep Technologies, a leading manufacturer of industrial centrifuges, separation and filtration systems, environmental products, and fluid management services, was facing a challenge with its 2D drawing solution. The company had been using AutoCAD software for creating DWG files to support the drawing needs of sales, engineering, manufacturing, and documentation functions. However, the company's installed seats of AutoCAD were getting out-of-date and Autodesk no longer offers perpetual software upgrades, only more costly monthly leasing. This led CentraSep to start looking for a more cost-effective 2D solution. The company needed a solution that was easy to learn and use, worked well alongside SOLIDWORKS 3D design software, and provided a more cost-effective 2D solution.
The Solution
CentraSep decided to replace AutoCAD software with DraftSight Professional 2D design software. The company purchased five seats of DraftSight Professional software because it was easy to learn and use, especially for AutoCAD users, worked well alongside SOLIDWORKS 3D design software, and provided a more cost-effective 2D solution. The software was used to satisfy a host of other 2D needs, ranging from leveraging legacy and customer plant layout data in DWG format to more efficiently developing proposals for prospective customers and electrical schematics. The implementation of DraftSight Professional software allowed CentraSep to compress its sales process substantially while simultaneously reducing the engineering effort required to support quoting, proposal development, and sales.

Hydro One Leads the Way In Smart Meter Development
In 2010, Ontario’s energy board mandated that time-of-use (TOU) pricing for consumers be available for all consumers on a regulated price plan. To meet this requirement, Hydro One needed to quickly deploy a smart meter and intelligent communications network solution to meet the provincial government’s requirement at a low cost. The network needed to cover Hydro One’s expansive service territory, which has a land mass twice the size of Texas, and its customers live in a mix of urban, rural, and remote areas, some places only accessible by air, rail, boat or snowmobile. Most importantly, the network needed to enable future enterprise-wide business efficiencies, modernization of distribution infrastructure and enhanced customer service. To meet these needs, Hydro One conceptualized an end-to-end solution leveraging open standards and Internet Protocols (IP) at all communication levels. The utility drew upon industry leaders like Trilliant to realize this vision.

Predictive maintenance in Schneider Electric
Schneider Electric Le Vaudreuil factory in France is recognized by the World Economic Forum as one of the world’s top nine most advanced “lighthouse” sites, applying Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies at large scale. It was experiencing machine-health and unplanned downtime issues on a critical machine within their manufacturing process. They were looking for a solution that could easily leverage existing machine data feeds, be used by machine operators without requiring complex setup or extensive training, and with a fast return on investment.
