About The Customer
Amuse's customers are individuals who consume cannabis and prefer the convenience of home delivery. They appreciate the quality and breadth of a robust online product offering. Entrenched customers value the convenience and array of options available while new ones enjoy an at-home experience of choosing the products that are right for them. They also appreciate the privacy of delivery communications in the form of anonymized two-way messaging. Many of these customers schedule their cannabis deliveries ahead of time, while others prefer more 'spur of the moment,' on-demand deliveries.
The Challenge
Amuse, an e-commerce cannabis delivery business, was faced with the challenge of serving an underserved retail cannabis marketplace in California. The company's main strategy was to focus on delivery as a key channel and to provide a robust online product offering. However, as the company began to add more drivers and customers, they realized that they needed to invest in a platform that could handle an increasingly complex logistics operation. They were managing a massive volume of drivers and customers daily and expected this number to more than double by the end of the year. The challenge was to scale not necessarily with headcount, but with improved efficiency.
The Solution
Amuse partnered with Onfleet, a platform that offers route optimization features. This immediately improved Amuse's productivity and the use of their drivers' time. They were able to track 'Deliveries Per Hour' and shave time between deliveries with efficient route planning. The drivers appreciated the ease of their intelligent delivery schedules. Onfleet's software platform also offered features tailor-made for the intricacies of delivering cannabis products, such as barcode scanning, contactless signatures, and anonymous messaging. These features ensured that the delivery process was efficient, connected, safe, and legal. Onfleet also enabled Amuse to be flexible, allowing drivers to see new orders come in and pick them up as it made sense for their route.

Airport SCADA Systems Improve Service Levels
Modern airports are one of the busiest environments on Earth and rely on process automation equipment to ensure service operators achieve their KPIs. Increasingly airport SCADA systems are being used to control all aspects of the operation and associated facilities. This is because unplanned system downtime can cost dearly, both in terms of reduced revenues and the associated loss of customer satisfaction due to inevitable travel inconvenience and disruption.

Improving Production Line Efficiency with Ethernet Micro RTU Controller
Moxa was asked to provide a connectivity solution for one of the world's leading cosmetics companies. This multinational corporation, with retail presence in 130 countries, 23 global braches, and over 66,000 employees, sought to improve the efficiency of their production process by migrating from manual monitoring to an automatic productivity monitoring system. The production line was being monitored by ABB Real-TPI, a factory information system that offers data collection and analysis to improve plant efficiency. Due to software limitations, the customer needed an OPC server and a corresponding I/O solution to collect data from additional sensor devices for the Real-TPI system. The goal is to enable the factory information system to more thoroughly collect data from every corner of the production line. This will improve its ability to measure Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and translate into increased production efficiencies. System Requirements • Instant status updates while still consuming minimal bandwidth to relieve strain on limited factory networks • Interoperable with ABB Real-TPI • Small form factor appropriate for deployment where space is scarce • Remote software management and configuration to simplify operations
