About The Customer
TBWA Worldwide is a global advertising agency network owned by Omnicom Group, headquartered in New York, NY. The company is renowned for helping world-class brands craft their stories through diverse mediums. With an annual revenue of $149 million and a workforce of 11,100 employees, TBWA Worldwide oversees more than 300 ad agencies around the world. These agencies adhere to shared business and operational processes to provide consistent service and customer experience to their clients. As the company expanded its number of ad agencies in each geographical region, it required a streamlined approach to agency and employee account management.
The Challenge
TBWA Worldwide, a global advertising agency network, faced the challenge of migrating 11,000 employee email accounts from Google Suite to Microsoft Office 365. The company needed an automated account management process to streamline agency and employee account management across its 300 ad agencies worldwide. The identity management team was tasked with managing employee email and providing real-time software access. Initially, hand-coding integrations worked, but as the number of integrations grew, it became time-consuming. The team needed a solution to manage APIs and complete the migration within 30 days, as hand-coding to Office 365 APIs was not sustainable.
The Solution
TBWA Worldwide initially attempted to use an API integration tool to connect systems to Office 365 but found it insufficient to meet their deadline. The identity management team, led by Andy McCown, turned to SnapLogic to expedite the project. SnapLogic provided a powerful integration platform that allowed the team of three developers to handle integrations quickly, supporting the business and all 11,000 employees. With SnapLogic, the migration was completed 67% faster. The team also built an application on top of the LDAP system to enable regional IT teams to manage agencies, employees, and client accounts, and provide software access to employees. Additionally, SnapLogic facilitated the transformation of XML files to JSON files, allowing data sharing among agencies worldwide.
Operational Impact
  • SnapLogic enabled TBWA Worldwide to streamline and automate business processes, significantly increasing employee productivity.
  • The identity management team can now create APIs in minutes instead of weeks, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Agencies worldwide can access data and applications in real-time, resulting in higher customer engagement and satisfaction.
Quantitative Benefit
  • 67% improvement in time to migrate 11,000 employee accounts from Google Suite to MS Office 365.
  • Increased employee productivity by 3X with no-code integration approach.
