About The Customer
CanalChat Grandialogue, founded in 1999, provides high-end chat and video chat services to corporate clients. Its mission is to facilitate interaction among various groups of people, such as management, employees, new recruits, and customers. Some 70% of CAC 40 companies use CanalChat’s services, making it a leader in instant, live communications. Its services span the entire value chain, from moderating and transcribing calls through to managing speakers. The goal is to provide a seamless user experience where people can focus on what’s being said without worrying about the underlying technology. The company is also able to develop websites optimized for mobile devices like tablets and smartphones.
The Challenge
CanalChat Grandialogue, a leading provider of online chat services for special events, faced the challenge of delivering continuously-updated content to all participants of a given chat. The content is usually disseminated from the customer’s premises, which leads to two challenges: one, mitigating the effects to the customer’s internal bandwidth when its on-site employees connect to the discussion; and two, keeping the chat running smoothly when employees at other sites throughout the world connect. The company needed a solution that could handle all these requirements. They were looking for a provider flexible enough to offer a system that could be adapted to their customers’ various specifications.
The Solution
CanalChat partnered with CDNetworks, a global content delivery network (CDN) with fully integrated Cloud Security DDoS protection and web application firewall. CDNetworks' solution was ideally suited to CanalChat’s content delivery needs— especially for events with demanding technological requirements. With CDNetworks, CanalChat had a complete system up and running in less than a week—with no impact to their customers or their chat participants. CDNetworks’ solution is able to support just about every situation imaginable, providing fast, reliable systems vital for CanalChat's business model.
