The Customer
About The Customer
Sub-Zero, a family-owned business, pioneered the development of the built-in refrigerator in the 1950s and is still the leading manufacturer of luxury appliances in North America.
The Challenge

Sub-Zero faced the largest product launch in the company’s history:

It wanted to launch 60 new products as scheduled while simultaneously opening a new “greenfield” production facility, yet still adhering to stringent quality requirements and manage issues from new supply-chain partners. A the same time, it wanted to increase staff productivity time and collaboration while reducing travel and costs.

The Solution

Sub-Zero turned to an enterprise-grade mobile video collaboration solution that supported its massive new product launch.

This  included Cisco wireless networking infrastructure, Cisco TelePresence, and Librestream Onsight mobile collaboration software and rugged cameras. Manufacturing mobile video capabilities were integrated into daily workflows and processes. Existing wireless networks were upgraded to support mobile devices, video streaming and conferencing within manufacturing facilities. Cisco also integrates the solution into existing video infrastructure and tools.
