About The Customer
CrowdStock's primary customers are Kickstarter and crowdfunding campaign creators who require assistance with managing their backers' data and shipping details. These creators range from individuals launching their first campaign to seasoned campaigners. The platform is also beneficial to backers who can enjoy a streamlined and efficient checkout process. The co-founders' backgrounds in eLearning and crowdfunding respectively, coupled with their shared commitment to simplicity and efficiency, make CrowdStock an ideal solution for creators looking to simplify their post-campaign processes and maximize their earnings.
The Challenge
CrowdStock was conceived to address the challenges faced by Kickstarter and crowdfunding campaign creators in managing their backers' data and shipping details. The co-founders, John Bura and Jordan Smith, identified a gap in the market where Kickstarter was primarily focused on fund collection, leaving creators to grapple with the complexities of fulfillment. The challenge was to create a platform that not only simplified the fulfillment process but also provided additional features to help creators maximize their earnings post-campaign. The co-founders also wanted to ensure that the platform was user-friendly and efficient, avoiding unnecessary complexities that could deter users.
The Solution
The solution was the creation of CrowdStock, a Kickstarter and crowdfunding fulfillment service app. The app was built using Bubble, a no-code platform, which allowed the co-founders to focus on functionality and user experience rather than technical details. The app features three dashboards - admin, creator, and backer - each designed for simplicity and ease of use. The backer experience is minimalist and efficient, with a sleek checkout process. Additionally, CrowdStock includes an upsell feature to help creators generate additional revenue after their campaign ends. The co-founders plan to further enhance the platform by adding a digital marketplace to drive even more sales and funding for creators.
