ARCEEP offers a range of services including consultancy, monitoring, control, coordination, and support in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the deployment of infrastructure and services, as well as specialist engineering in legalization. The company also operates in other sectors, providing advice on urban and administrative planning, patrimonial regularization, asset management, document management, e-Administration, sustainability, and technology-based projects in the field of Information Society and Public Administration.
The Challenge
ARCE LEGALIZACIONES ARCEEP, a professional cabinet specializing in the legalization of facilities, faced several challenges due to its rapid expansion. The company's consultants needed to have remote access to data due to their mobile nature of work. This necessitated a system that allowed telecommuting for real-time updates. Document management was another critical aspect for ARCEEP as it formed the basis of all development. The company needed a document management system that was accessible to both employees and customers and allowed remote incorporation of new documents to update the status of different legalizations. The document input was crucial as it triggered the start and end of production tasks and processes. ARCEEP also required quick and accurate reports on the actual situation of each case to inform customers and ease the work of employees in controlling deadlines and action plans. The company needed an agile system to handle the heavy workload and distribute it among employees to ensure no process was left unattended due to an employee's absence.
The Solution
ARCEEP opted for the AuraQuantic low-code applications platform (LCAP) to address its challenges. The platform seamlessly integrated with an external database to manage all necessary data for monitoring and control. This allowed ARCEEP to use data from different applications. Through Document Management, ARCEEP set up processes to start or end by introducing a document using System Tasks and Deviators that automated changes in the status of the information. This gave the application the dynamism the company needed. The situation of the processes could be changed at any time, they could be closed or new ones could be launched by AuraQuantic system tasks. The reports were developed using Reporting Services, providing information on AuraQuantic internal processes. External Portals were implemented for ARCEEP customers, giving them access to reports containing the current status of their projects and documentation.

Hospital Inventory Management
The hospital supply chain team is responsible for ensuring that the right medical supplies are readily available to clinicians when and where needed, and to do so in the most efficient manner possible. However, many of the systems and processes in use at the cancer center for supply chain management were not best suited to support these goals. Barcoding technology, a commonly used method for inventory management of medical supplies, is labor intensive, time consuming, does not provide real-time visibility into inventory levels and can be prone to error. Consequently, the lack of accurate and real-time visibility into inventory levels across multiple supply rooms in multiple hospital facilities creates additional inefficiency in the system causing over-ordering, hoarding, and wasted supplies. Other sources of waste and cost were also identified as candidates for improvement. Existing systems and processes did not provide adequate security for high-cost inventory within the hospital, which was another driver of cost. A lack of visibility into expiration dates for supplies resulted in supplies being wasted due to past expiry dates. Storage of supplies was also a key consideration given the location of the cancer center’s facilities in a dense urban setting, where space is always at a premium. In order to address the challenges outlined above, the hospital sought a solution that would provide real-time inventory information with high levels of accuracy, reduce the level of manual effort required and enable data driven decision making to ensure that the right supplies were readily available to clinicians in the right location at the right time.

How Sirqul’s IoT Platform is Crafting Carrefour’s New In-Store Experiences
Carrefour Taiwan’s goal is to be completely digital by end of 2018. Out-dated manual methods for analysis and assumptions limited Carrefour’s ability to change the customer experience and were void of real-time decision-making capabilities. Rather than relying solely on sales data, assumptions, and disparate systems, Carrefour Taiwan’s CEO led an initiative to find a connected IoT solution that could give the team the ability to make real-time changes and more informed decisions. Prior to implementing, Carrefour struggled to address their conversion rates and did not have the proper insights into the customer decision-making process nor how to make an immediate impact without losing customer confidence.

Hardware Retailer Uses Data Warehouse to Track Inventory
Ace tracked which products retailers ordered, when they were ordered and shipped. However, the company could not track or forecast actual sales. Data used for reporting was up to a one-week old, owing to performance and data cleansing issues. Requirement to integrate wholesale and inventory data with POS data to help drive key business decisions, improve category management, lower inventory costs and optimize pricing. Reliance on custom coding to integrate POS data was excessively resource intensive and led to major performance constraints.
