About The Customer
Universal Property Maintenance is a reputable company that provides a wide range of services covering all aspects of the day-to-day running of a building. Their services can be used as stand-alone solutions for facilities or in conjunction with other services. They have a skilled team that undertakes all aspects of building work and also operates an emergency call-out service. The company is committed to service excellence, frequent communication, efficient cost controls, and a continuous focus on their clients’ changing needs.
The Challenge
Universal Property Maintenance (UPM), a company known for its prompt service, high-quality work, and competitive pricing, was facing challenges in managing the day-to-day operations of their buildings. They were in need of a comprehensive solution that could streamline their services, improve communication, and efficiently control costs. The company was also struggling with inefficiencies due to the lack of a centralized system for client information. This resulted in duplication of work, difficulties in asset monitoring, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
The Solution
UPM adopted the FIELDMOTION Facilities management software platform, which provided an easy-to-use interface and comprehensive reporting capabilities. The software allowed UPM to centralize all their client information, thereby eliminating duplication of work, improving asset monitoring, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The software's main features included Asset Management, Mobile App, Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reporting, and Purchase Orders. The Asset Management feature allowed for quick identification of assets through QR codes. The Mobile App provided engineers with instant access to previous work information and forms, even in offline mode. The Planned Preventive Maintenance feature helped in proactive maintenance, reducing asset breakdowns. The Reporting feature enabled analysis of job profitability, engineers’ productivity, and high-value customers, leading to better-informed decisions. The Purchase Orders feature streamlined the process of part approval, saving time and money.
