The Challenge

The distributor was handling approximately 400 mostly reefer shipments across the country annually, relying on over 50 brokers across various regions. This made the import of their carrier list into any transportation software they decided to use crucial to minimize service disruptions. Additionally, the distributor required a system that could seamlessly handle blind shipping, providing the necessary paperwork and labeling for these shipments and setting up business rules per shipment.
The Solution
FreightPOP's Transportation Management System provided the solution the grocery distributor needed. The system offered rate shipping and spot quoting, allowing for cross-mode shipping comparison on a single screen, eliminating the need to log in and out of carrier websites. It also provided access to pre-contracted LTL & FTL carrier networks and consolidated batch shipping tools. The system also offered real-time acceptance and response to carriers and 'set and forget' shipping rules. The company has a long track record of innovative technology solutions. For example, 3M helps its customers optimize parking operations by automating fee collection and other processes.
