About The Customer
The customer is an international company specializing in communications satellite technology. They have over 1,200 employees and their support infrastructure spans 6 continents. The company operates in 15 global locations and was looking for a solution to streamline and automate their inspections processes across these locations. They wanted to engage their global employees in the inspections process and make inspections accessible across all locations. The company also wanted to identify trends across these locations to make informed decisions and take corrective action.
The Challenge
The company, an international leader in communications satellite technology, was looking to transition away from excel and paper-based inspections processes. They wanted to streamline and automate inspections processes across their 15 global locations. The goal was to identify trends across these locations to make informed decisions and take corrective action. They also wanted to engage global employees in the inspections process and make inspections accessible across locations. The company needed a single platform to manage both equipment/routine-basis inspections and internal ISO audits. They required mobile capabilities with QR code scanning functionality for easy access to inspections and a central, up-to-date system to share progress, track completion and assign tasks to address findings.
The Solution
The company turned to Gensuite Inspection Tool to digitize their inspections program. The tool offers a central platform for users to conduct, assign and track EHS&S inspections, including Mobile & offline capabilities to conduct inspections in the field. The company was able to create inspection checklists customized to each site’s program or process, assign inspection frequency & responsibility across a site, including automatic email reminders. They could conduct inspections online or offline via the Gensuite Mobile app. The tool also integrated Mobile QR codes/barcodes scanning for quick access to routine equipment/area specific inspections. The company could trend inspection results and identify common issues, identify findings & corrective actions and export to the Gensuite Action Tracking System for assignment & closure. They could track in-progress, missed and completed inspections in one centralized location with real-time dashboard capabilities, scoring and charts.

Vodafone Hosted On AWS
Vodafone found that traffic for the applications peak during the four-month period when the international cricket season is at its height in Australia. During the 2011/2012 cricket season, 700,000 consumers downloaded the Cricket Live Australia application. Vodafone needed to be able to meet customer demand, but didn’t want to invest in additional resources that would be underutilized during cricket’s off-season.
