About The Customer
Procore Technologies is a construction company based in Carpinteria, California, with over 2500 employees. The company provides innovative and unified construction management software to thousands of companies in several countries. With hundreds of open roles to fill across three continents, Procore Technologies needed a solution to streamline their hiring process, consolidate data from multiple sources, and improve the candidate experience. The company was also looking for a way to remove redundancies in their outreach to candidates.
The Challenge
Procore Technologies, a provider of innovative construction management software, was facing significant challenges in managing their hiring process. With hundreds of open roles to fill across three continents, the company needed a way to consolidate hiring data across their Applicant Tracking System (ATS), LinkedIn, and their own email system. The process of tracking candidate relationships was manual, inefficient, and often resulted in duplicated outreach to previously contacted candidates. Passive candidates were tracked across many different systems, further complicating the process. Maisha Cannon, Sourcing Leader at Procore, was tasked with a large amount of outreach and pipeline building, and was well aware of the laborious, multi-step procedure of tracking candidate outreach.
The Solution
Procore Technologies adopted Gem’s Candidate Relationship Management solution, Gem CRM, to streamline their hiring process. This solution fully automated and centralized Cannon’s candidate tracking process. With Gem CRM, Cannon could instantly see when a candidate was last contacted, set due dates for future follow-ups, and even tag a co-worker to help understand context. The solution also allowed for setting rules of engagement, ensuring that candidate relationships could be easily preserved and respected across the entire team. As a result, Gem CRM became a single source of truth for the company, consolidating data from multiple sources and making the hiring process more efficient. It also allowed Cannon to monitor and track the sourcing work done at a crucial period: before the candidate has entered the interview process.
