The Challenge
When Dave Meindl took up his position as Senior Advisor of Digital Technology and Performance at Mudd Advertising, he was faced with a significant challenge. There was no existing system in place to manage workflows or standard operating procedures. The lack of documentation and structure meant that the business processes were disorganized and inefficient. This lack of systemization posed a risk of chaos and inefficiency, which could potentially lead to financial losses. Furthermore, the absence of a structured system made it difficult for the organization to adapt to changes such as hiring new employees or dealing with unexpected situations. The challenge was to find an effective and cost-efficient solution to streamline the operations and improve efficiency.
The Solution
The solution came in the form of SweetProcess, a workflow management software. Despite a limited budget, Dave decided to implement this system, hoping it would bring about the necessary changes. SweetProcess allowed Dave and his team to create standard procedures for every task, thereby eliminating inefficiency. It also helped in reducing costs by preventing avoidable expenditures that were a result of inefficiency. The software served as a reference document, ensuring high-quality performance and providing guidance to employees. It also simplified the employee onboarding and training process, saving time and resources. The documentation process was carried out collectively with team members, and it was continuously improved upon based on observations and feedback. With the operations now running smoothly, the organization can focus on achieving their next big goals.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).
