About The Customer
GC Services is a business process outsourcing company with a workforce of between 5,000 to 10,000 employees. The company operates 30 offices across the United States. They handle a vast amount of data and were seeking a solution to mine this data for insights into client and internal staffing needs. Their operations department, in particular, was in need of an analytics solution that could handle large volumes of data from various sources, including SQL Server, Microsoft Excel, and text files.
The Challenge
GC Services, a business process outsourcing company with 30 offices across the US, faced significant challenges in mining their vast data for actionable insights into client and internal staffing needs. Their initial attempt at business intelligence (BI) using traditional data warehousing failed due to the extensive data transformation required, poor performance on large table joins, and the inability to combine data from SQL Server, Microsoft Excel, and text files. The company needed a solution that could quickly aggregate data with near real-time updates and be user-friendly enough for non-technical users to drill down at multiple levels.
The Solution
GC Services implemented Incorta on its Cloud Azure instance, which allowed direct data access for fast and easy insights. Within three days, the company had loaded and analyzed millions of rows of data and created the necessary dashboards. The solution enabled performance reports to be run in less than a second without the need for transformations or data modeling. Incorta also allowed the company to customize business views for their clients, providing them access to the same data sources labeled with familiar terms, formulas, and grammar. This made it easier for client users to understand the data and derive their own insights. Furthermore, Incorta's ease of use and customizable dashboards led to widespread adoption, in stark contrast to the zero percent adoption after six months with Microsoft Power View.

At Jaguar Land Rover, vehicles physically move around the facility for testing, configuration setting, rework and rectification, leading to a longer search time to get each vehicle to its next process facility. The main goal is to minimize the vehicles' dwell time between end of line and the delivery chain which was previously a manually intensive process. Jaguar Land Rover's goal was to build on the success of an earlier RFID project and improve the efficiency of delivering vehicles to meet dealer orders.
