About The Customer
Valeo is a publicly traded French automotive supplier with 113,600 employees worldwide and annual sales of €19.3 billion as of December 2018. Known globally as an automotive supplier, Valeo is — at its core — an innovative technology company and a leader in driverless cars and CO2 emission reductions. The company operates in 33 countries and has automated 300+ processes for nearly 70,000 users across all of their global offices. These business processes utilize data from many document storage systems, SAP ERP, and various internal point solutions. Valeo’s business processes include HR, Finance & Accounting, Operations and Development.
The Challenge
Valeo, a global automotive industry supplier, was facing significant delays in its business process management (BPM) approval process, which took 90 seconds or longer. This resulted in a surplus of user complaints and a major decrease in customer satisfaction. The company needed to improve its business processes to meet new demands and accommodate its aggressive growth rate goals. Valeo's previous BPM, a Fujitsu product, was not able to keep up with the company's fast-growing needs for workflow applications, including mobile interface.
The Solution
Valeo adopted ProcessMaker as its new BPM platform. ProcessMaker offered the tech stack that the company needed to handle to accelerate its OEM offering. The switch allowed Valeo to introduce extreme agility in the way it fulfilled the company’s fast-growing needs for workflow applications, including mobile interface. The Valeo team developed unique implementations with Google, including Actions by Email (similar to the ProcessMaker I/O offering). Valeo was one of Google’s first large G Suite implementations in Europe. ProcessMaker integrated with G Suite to streamline Valeo’s business processes.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).

Monitoring of Pressure Pumps in Automotive Industry
A large German/American producer of auto parts uses high-pressure pumps to deburr machined parts as a part of its production and quality check process. They decided to monitor these pumps to make sure they work properly and that they can see any indications leading to a potential failure before it affects their process.
