About The Customer
Broddson AB, based in Motala, Sweden, is a world-renowned manufacturer of sweepers for road maintenance equipment. The company is experiencing rapid growth in Scandinavia, the Middle East, and Africa. Broddson is known for its innovative solutions in road maintenance, providing not only machines but also global sales, installation, technical support, and spare parts through a network of suppliers and partners. One of their popular products is the Broddson Scandia towed conveyor sweeper, which efficiently removes sand from roads and transports it to the back of a truck. Broddson's commitment to quality and innovation has made them a leader in their industry, and they continue to expand their reach and capabilities.
The Challenge
Broddson AB, a leading manufacturer of road maintenance sweepers, faced challenges with their traditional parametric 3D CAD program. The program was competent but cumbersome, requiring each part to be saved in its own file, leading to hundreds of files with no real benefit. This approach was restrictive and did not allow for easy creation and modification of designs. Broddson needed a more flexible and efficient solution to design their complex machines, which include components like diesel engines, beams, and plates. The constraints of the traditional CAD software prompted Broddson to seek an alternative that would allow for more freedom in design and easier management of complex assemblies.
The Solution
Broddson adopted IRONCAD, a flexible 3D CAD software, to overcome the limitations of their previous parametric CAD program. IRONCAD allows for a more intuitive and flexible design process, enabling Broddson to create and modify designs with ease. The software supports having multiple parts in a single file, simplifying the management of complex assemblies. Features like SmartSnap and TriBall make it easy to size, move, copy, and rotate parts with precision. Broddson's major subcontractor, BTT Plate AB, had already been using IRONCAD, which facilitated the transition. The flexibility of IRONCAD allows Broddson to develop new products and customize existing ones without the restrictions of traditional CAD software. This has enabled them to meet customer demands and innovate more efficiently.

Smart Water Filtration Systems
Before working with Ayla Networks, Ozner was already using cloud connectivity to identify and solve water-filtration system malfunctions as well as to monitor filter cartridges for replacements. But, in June 2015, Ozner executives talked with Ayla about how the company might further improve its water systems with IoT technology. They liked what they heard from Ayla, but the executives needed to be sure that Ayla’s Agile IoT Platform provided the security and reliability Ozner required.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
