About The Customer
The CSN Groep is a full-service Systems Integrator and Managed Services provider based in the Netherlands. The company started 20 years ago as a CAD software house and has since developed to offer a wide range of IT services. With a focus on delivering value and innovation across mid-size businesses, the CSN Groep draws on their deep IT expertise to design and implement reliable disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives for their customers. The company was an early adopter of cloud technology in the Netherlands, delivering their first generation IaaS solution over nine years ago.
The Challenge
The CSN Groep, a full-service Systems Integrator and Managed Services provider, recognized the increasing need for availability and the lack of expertise in managing IT infrastructure to maximize uptime amongst their customer base. They saw the need to offer cloud-based business continuity services from a different location than that of their IaaS services. They wanted a partner who not only had deep expertise in cloud backup and disaster recovery, but could also deliver the advanced cloud security expertise needed to meet the compliance requirements of their customers. A top priority for the CSN Groep is protecting their customers’ IT systems from the ever increasing threats of cyber-attacks, viruses, and ransomware.
The Solution
The CSN Groep partnered with [11:11] Systems to deliver cloud-based disaster recovery solutions. They were impressed with [11:11]’s expansion into the Netherlands region with the opening of a Secure Cloud data center in Amsterdam in 2017 to address data privacy requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The CSN Groep did their due diligence on the security of the [11:11] cloud platform and were impressed with what they found. The [11:11] business continuity services that the CSN Groep offers their customers include: [11:11] Cloud Backup with Veeam Cloud Connect and [11:11] Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service for Zerto.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).
