About The Customer
FUNAT Laboratories is a Colombian company that specializes in the manufacturing and retail of natural products for medicinal use, cosmetics, and nutrition. The company extracts active elements from medicinal plants and natural resources to create their products. For over 25 years, FUNAT has been manufacturing and distributing natural source products both nationally and internationally. The company has more than 170 stores throughout Colombia and distributes own-brand products and products from other laboratories, covering 90% of the Colombian territory. FUNAT currently employs more than 800 people.
The Challenge
FUNAT Laboratories, a leading Colombian company in the manufacturing and retail of natural products, faced significant challenges in managing their business processes. The company lacked a business process management system, leading to manual processes, loss of information, and lack of control and traceability. The company's existing information systems, including the ERP and custom software developments, were not addressing these issues. The main challenges included lack of process definition, resistance to change, lack of purchase approvals, need for definition of roles and tasks, zero traceability of activities, excessive usage of paper, and lack of quotation controls. These issues were affecting the company's productivity, customer satisfaction, sales, and response times.
The Solution
FUNAT Laboratories adopted AuraQuantic iBPMS as their process management solution. This platform was chosen for its ease of use, intuitive design, agility, scalability, and capacity for integration with other applications. The implementation of AuraQuantic iBPMS allowed FUNAT to gain rigorous control of the organization, including the processes and productivity. The platform helped in defining and simplifying processes, establishing clear business rules, providing complete process traceability, and organizing information for well-informed decision making. The platform was used for various processes including payment programming to CXP suppliers, document management, internal task management, contract management, and purchase management.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
