About The Customer
Hankook Tires is a leading tire manufacturing company that specializes in the development and production of state-of-the-art tires. They distribute their products to over 400 independent dealers through more than 3000 retail sales locations across the United States and Canada. The company was looking for a solution to improve delivery communication between themselves, their truck drivers, and their customers.
The Challenge
Hankook Tires, a leading tire manufacturing company, was facing a challenge in coordinating shipments between their truckers and customers. With multiple deliveries ongoing at the same time, they needed an effective way to manage this process. They knew that texts were the most effective form of communication to accomplish this, but they needed a system that was able to scale to thousands of texts a month.
The Solution
Hankook Tires found a solution in Trumpia’s API. Touted as “very cost effective” by Jonathan Shin, the Web Application Developer Associate at Hankook Tires, they used Trumpia to bolster communication between themselves, and their truck drivers and customers. Trumpia’s system easily scaled to Hankook Tire’s 2000 texts a month requirement. This allowed them to reach who they wanted, when they wanted, with the most immediate and attention-grabbing channel there is.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).
