About The Customer
Heaven Hill Brands, founded in 1935, is the sixth largest distilled spirits producer and marketer in the U.S. The company is home to over 20 iconic brands, including Evan Williams Bourbon, Elijah Craig Bourbon, Lunazul Tequila, and Deep Eddy Vodka. They ship products to more than 100 countries worldwide. The company has a nationwide sales team and an extensive distributor network that requires access to current and approved content to effectively sell and promote their products.
The Challenge
Heaven Hill Brands, a major distilled spirits producer, faced a significant challenge in managing their marketing and sales content. All their content was stored on a local server that could only be accessed by the marketing team. This led to a bottleneck in workflow as the marketing team was constantly inundated with file requests from the sales team and distributor network. The local server only housed a subset of their assets and lacked search functionality, making it difficult to use. The situation was further complicated by the fact that the sales team and extensive distributor network needed access to current and approved content to effectively sell and promote their products.
The Solution
To address this challenge, Heaven Hill Brands implemented Acquia DAM (Widen), which included the Assets, Insights, and Portals applications. This system became the central repository for all their marketing assets, providing self-serve access to the sales team and distributors. The Portals application allowed Heaven Hill to share a selection of these assets with their external distributor network via a link, without requiring users to log in to the DAM system. This feature was so popular that many sales reps and distributors pinned the URLs to their mobile devices for immediate access. Furthermore, Heaven Hill migrated their current marketing and sales assets from their local server to the DAM system. They also decided to eliminate the local server and move the remaining content to their DAM site, using a separate “Archive” asset group. This was done to consolidate tools and reduce storage fees.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
