About The Customer
HEINEKEN is a global brewing company with 106 breweries worldwide. The company aims to continuously improve efficiency in its brewery operations. HEINEKEN uses SwipeGuide to deliver digital standard work that empowers knowledge sharing throughout a global value chain. The company is committed to maintaining high-quality content with ongoing support in the form of train-the-trainer programs and content reviews at regular intervals. HEINEKEN also uses a methodology known as 5S to qualify and standardize hygiene, cleanliness, and the efficiency.
The Challenge
HEINEKEN, a global brewing company, was seeking ways to improve efficiency in its brewery operations. The company was facing challenges in delivering essential operational knowledge to the shop floor. The traditional methods of knowledge sharing were time-consuming and often led to confusion among machine operators. The company was also struggling with ensuring that the instructions provided to the operators were the most current version. Furthermore, the company wanted to capture, review, and implement the knowledge of its experts - the employees who use these machines on a daily basis. The challenge was to find a solution that could provide instant knowledge, be easy to use, and allow for immediate access to the most current information.
The Solution
HEINEKEN adopted SwipeGuide, a digital platform that delivers standard work instructions to operators. The platform uses an automatic QR code generator, allowing machine operators to simply scan a code on their machine to access the work instruction they need for the task at hand. The work instructions are presented in a simple, visual interface that is easy to use. The platform also ensures that the instructions at hand are the most current version. HEINEKEN also uses SwipeGuide to capture, review, and implement the knowledge of its experts. The platform integrates with a wide variety of shop floor apps to boost overall productivity, communication effectiveness, skills management, and performance. Furthermore, HEINEKEN uses SwipeGuide to standardize and improve knowledge for frontline teams. Edits can be made to a work instruction from the production line, and the updated standards are instantly in the hands of employees.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
