The Challenge
Race to Zero, a consultancy firm in the sports industry, is committed to becoming a market leader in the UNFCCC Race to Zero Campaign. The company works with athletes, sports teams, sporting events, individuals, charities, organisations, and businesses to provide carbon reduction, offsetting services, and climate education tools. Their goal is to raise awareness about the impact of sports on climate change and how improvements can be made. However, to achieve its goal of helping individuals and entities globally become carbon neutral and tackle the climate crisis, Race to Zero faced a significant challenge. They needed a means to provide their clients with a carbon accounting tool, a solution that would allow them to measure, track, and offset their carbon emissions effectively.
The Solution
Race to Zero partnered with Net0 to solve this challenge. Net0 offers an AI-based, automated emissions management software that allows organisations to measure, track, reduce, and offset carbon emissions. This partnership enabled Race to Zero to provide its clients with their own tool, which they could use to calculate and measure emissions before purchasing any equivalent offsets. Net0 developed a customised carbon calculator specifically for Race to Zero, which was embedded in their website. This tool is available to Race to Zero clients upon subscription. Once they calculate their emissions, clients can offset them via multiple certified offsetting projects, all of which are Gold Standard or Verified Carbon Standard. Users have the option to offset their emissions with a monthly subscription or on a non-routine basis.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
